PILATES CLASSES

Private Sessions (1 client per class)

This one-on-one experience is great for beginners who are new to Pilates or experienced practitioners who are looking to refine their Pilates skills. Private sessions are also great for any individual looking to achieve specific goals using our wide assortment of Pilates apparatus.

Small Group Sessions (2-4 clients per class)

This class is designed to work your entire body using Pilates apparatus such as reformers, towers, and springboards. We keep our class sizes small, so that the quality of your training does not suffer. Our group sessions still offer individualized attention, but at a more affordable option.

*If you are new to Pilates, it is highly recommended that you take between 3 and 5 private sessions before joining a group class. If you have any injuries, please let us know beforehand, so that we can properly give modifications for your safety.

 ABOUT / FAQ

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. His guiding philosophy in creating the Pilates method was that the "whole" must be exercised in order to achieve good health. Pilates apparatus classes are designed to condition the entire body with spring resistance based movements, which ultimately correct body alignment and balance movement, while improving strength, flexibility, and overall range of motion.

Who is Pilates for?

Pilates is designed for men and women of any age, and any fitness level. Because of its spring resistance based training, Pilates can be a great cross-training method for athletes, a low-impact way to help rehab those suffering from injury, a safe practice for pregnant women, and also a great form of exercise for overall health, wellness, and injury prevention.

Benefits of Pilates

The Pilates method focuses a lot of emphasis on core strength, which in turn, can help alleviate common lower back pain. Pilates is also designed to strengthen muscles without creating bulk, therefore creating a longer and leaner frame. For the older population, Pilates is vital in strengthening the small muscles that will help prevent loss of balance.

What Should I Wear?

Wear comfortable form-fitting clothing that you can move in, so that we can ensure proper alignment. For safety and hygiene, all clients must wear socks (grip socks are preferred). Please avoid wearing pants with buttons and zippers. No jeans. Please avoid wearing long earrings and tie back long hair to avoid hair getting caught in the equipment.

What is the recommended frequency?

For optimal results, we recommend Pilates at least three times per week. A regular and consistent practice will accelerate your results and enhance your overall health.
